Potassium citrate (also known as tripotassium citrate) is a potassium salt of citric acid with the molecular formula K3C6H5O7. It is a white, hygroscopic crystalline powder. It is odorless with a saline taste. It contains 38.28% potassium by mass. In the monohydrate form it is highly hygroscopic and deliquescent.
As a food additive, potassium citrate is used to regulate acidity and is known as E number E332. Medicinally, it may be used to control kidney stones derived from either uric acid or cystine.
Citric acid is a weak organic acid that has the molecular formula C6H8O7. It occurs naturally in citrus fruits. In biochemistry, it is an intermediate in the citric acid cycle, which occurs in the metabolism of all aerobic organisms. It is used widely as an acidifier, as a flavoring and a chelating agent.
Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic useful for the treatment of a number of bacterial infections. Chloramphenicol was discovered after being isolated from Streptomyces venezuelae in 1947.Its chemical structure was identified and it was first artificially made in 1949, making it the first antibiotic to be made instead of extracted from a micro-organism.
Disodium citrate, more properly, disodium hydrogen citrate, is an acid salt of citric acid with the chemical formula Na2C6H6O7. It is used as an antioxidant
Sodium citrate may refer to any of the sodium salts of citric acid (though most commonly the third):
The three forms of the salt are collectively known by the E number E331. Sodium citrates are used as acidity regulators in food and drinks, and also as emulsifiers for oils. They enable cheeses to melt without becoming greasy.
Butamirate Citrate INH (or brospamin) is a medicine used for the symptomatic treatment of non-productive (dry) cough. Butamirate is centrally acting cough suppressant which is neither chemically nor pharmacologically related to opium alkaloids. In addition to its antitussive effect, Butamirate also decreases the airway resistance. Butamirate is rapidly and completely absorbed after oral administration. Butamirate is indicated in acute cough of any etiology, pre and post operative cough sedation for surgical procedure and bronchoscopy. Butamirate is well tolerated. In rare cases, skin rash, nausea, diarrhea, dizziness have been reported. They disappear after reduction of the dosage or discontinuation of the drug.
Sodium alginate (NaC6H7O6) is the sodium salt of alginic acid. Sodium alginate is a gum.
Alginic acid is a naturally occurring, edible polysaccharide found in brown algae. It is hydrophilic in nature and forms a viscous gum when hydrated.
We manufacture Alginic Acid from the brown algae species Sargassum and Turbinaria which naturally grows in Indian seas. Alginates from different species of brown seaweed vary in their chemical structure resulting in different physical properties of alginates.
The unique nature of Alginates manufactured from Sargassum is the low M:G ratio or high G (α-L-Guluronate) which results in excellent gel strength even at very low concentrations.
